Engine and Transmission Part Degreasing
A reference workflow for aged oil sludge, grease and localized carbon on engine and transmission assemblies.
DUTY REVIEW
Define the Site Problem First
Old components often combine heavy lubricant residue with sensitive sealing faces, electrical connectors and precision-machined surfaces.
- Industry
- Component Reconditioning
- Objects
- Engine blocks, cylinder heads, transmissions and hydraulic components
- Primary Soil
- Oil sludge, grease, lubricant film and localized carbon
REFERENCE WORKFLOW
From Process to Verification
Protect sensitive areas first, then establish a repeatable process and acceptance criteria.
Process
Pre-inspect sensitive zones; use hot water for broad degreasing; reserve low-volume steam for gaps and stubborn local residue.
Equipment Direction
HP1525-ED or an HP-E configuration where indoor exhaust is restricted; SI electric steam for detail work.
Verification
Record before/after images, cleaning time, drainage handling, residue in critical areas and surface-protection results.
Operating Boundary
Pressure, temperature and nozzle selection must protect seals, labels, wiring and precision faces.
